Contacts

While logged into your Voxie team, click Contacts in the top navigation bar and select All Contacts.
On this page is shown some information about each of your contacts. Refer to the title name list below to identify each element in the screenshot of this page.

Filter Contacts: This is where you can filter your contact list by contacts' Subscription Status and/or Tags.
- You can type a phone number (no name for the time being) into the search bar to show any contact(s) matching the search.

- Sort By: This is where you can change sorting, default sorting is last created first, but you can also sort by phone number ascending or descending
- Name: Contact name column is basic contact information, including their name (if stored for each contact, otherwise will appear as Anonymous) and when the contact was created in this team.
- Phone In the Identity column is the contact’s phone number. Each phone number must be unique per contact per team.

Subscription Status: it can either be No-Pref, Opt-in or Opt-out, please refer to Subscription Status for more information
- Marketing: Status of Marketing Subscription Status
- Transactional: Status of Marketing Subscription Status
- Added: Refers to when this contact has been added into Voxie

[...]: Will expand a menu of Additional Actions:
- View: Will access the Profile of the contact in read only mode

Unsubscribe: Will change the Marketing Subscription Status to Opt-out, and therefore cannot receive Marketing texts due to opting out or being manually unsubscribed. Transactional messages either from Campaigns or Message Hub will still be enabled.

Delete: Will delete the contact
- Edit: Will redirect you to the Edit Screen
Viewing a Contact
Viewing a contact's profile shows a more complete summary of their information, including all Custom Attributes, Tags, message history, and Campaigns they are currently in.

From the All Contacts page, use the search bar to search for a contact or use the contact pages to find them manually.

When you find the contact you want to view, click the [...] button and select View from the drop-down menu.
Viewing Contact Information
On the right side of the screen is the contact’s profile information. Refer to the numbered list below to identify each numbered element in the screenshot of this section.
Details:
- As the Phone Number is the main Contact Identifier, it will appear first
- The contact’s First and Last name are listed below. Unnamed contacts will show Anonymous User and a person icon.
- Email: Not Mandatory but useful for potential integrations
- Time-Zone: Time Zone in which the contact is located, very useful for Safe Sending hours and Campaign Sending by Timezone [Optional]
- Added: This is the date the contact was created in your Voxie team.
- Entry Point: The means on how the Contact has been created in Voxie.
- To the right of the label Sticky Phone Number is your Voxie phone number that this contact receives your texts from.
Subscriptions:
State of Marketing and Transactional Subscription Status
Tags:
Count and List of Tags applied to this contact, maximum quantity of 50 Tags per Contact
Groups:
If applied, it will show Group affiliation.
Custom Attributes:
List of Custom Attributes in a Key and Value layout. maximum quantity of 50 Custom Attributes per Contact, you also can access the Custom Attribute section within the Logs > Custom Attributes.
On the right side of the contact's profile are also buttons to Edit the contact (described in more detail below) or Close the profile.
Messages, Segments, Campaigns, Custom Attributes, Subscriptions
On the left side of the screen is other information about this contact's history in your Voxie team, including their Messages, Campaigns, Custom Attributes, and Subscriptions.
- In the Messages section is all messaging history between this contact and your Voxie team, with the most recent message shown on the top.
- In the Campaigns section is a list of all non-archived Campaigns the contact is in.
- In the Custom Attributes section are all of the Custom Attributes stored on this contact's profile with the information stored in each one.
- In the Subscription Status section keeps track of the latest state of Subscription and the reason.
Editing a Contact
The Edit Contact page is where you can change most information stored on a contact.
From the All Contacts page, find the contact you'd like to edit. Click the Edit button.
Alternatively, if you are already viewing the contact's profile, click the blue Edit button on the right side of the profile.
On this page, you can edit the contact’s phone, first name, last name, email, or stored timezone.
You can Manually modify subscriptions Status for either marketing or transactional messaging for this contact, remember you cannot go back to preference status once modified
You'll be able to add or remove Tags
You'll be able to add or remove Custom Attributes
Deleting a Contact
You can delete contacts if necessary. Deleting contacts should be done with care, as this action cannot be undone.

From the All Contacts page, find the contact you'd like to delete. Click the [...] button and select Delete from the dropdown menu.

When you click Delete, an alert will appear to confirm this action.

If you are sure you want to delete a contact, click OK. If you do not want to delete the contact, click Cancel.

Deleting a contact is permanent. Be careful and double check that you have selected the correct contact that you want to delete!

Creating a New Contact
In addition to creating contacts by importing many at a time, you can create individual contacts manually.

While logged into into your Voxie account, locate the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Click on the tab titled Contacts and select the first option in the dropdown, All Contacts.

Click the + New Contact button in the upper right corner.

The Contact Creation form will you throughout the process.

On the Create Contact page, fill in any information you wish to store on the contact's profile. Phone number is required, and additional information, while optional, is recommended for personalizing messages.

Tags and Custom Attributes can be added to the contact if applicable.

Click the Create Contact button in the bottom right corner to save the new contact
As a reminder, all contacts must have different phone numbers and two contacts cannot share the same phone number.
