What Are Templates?
Templates are pre-written messages that can be sent to contacts in Message Hub. You can save multiple Templates in Voxie to quickly use different types of messages and responses. Templates are useful when you are sending the same message to multiple people, but not enough contacts to warrant building a Segment and Campaign blast.
Creating New Templates
While logged into your Voxie account, locate the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Click on the tab titled Messaging and select the third option in the dropdown, Templates.
Now you are on the Templates page. Click the green + New Template button to create a new template.
Clicking here will open the New Template modal, which provides space for you to give each template a Title and populate the message body (including message variables and emojis if you would like). It is recommended to use an easy-to-remember Title for your template, particularly if you expect it to be used by multiple users.
When you have written your message, above the Body input box will display the character and segment count of the message, the message encoding type, and the message type (SMS vs. MMS). When you are satisfied with your template, click the Create Template button.
Editing Templates
The Templates page lists all of your existing templates. From here, you can edit or delete any template.
To edit a template, click the pen and paper icon to the right of the template you wish to edit. Using the Edit Template modal, edit the Title or message body as you would like. Click Save Changes to update your template.
Deleting Templates
The Templates page lists all of your existing templates. From here, you can edit or delete any template.
To delete a template, click the trash can icon to the right of the template you wish to delete. Click the Yes, delete template button to confirm your deletion. This action cannot be undone.
Using Templates in Message Hub
You can use Templates to respond to an existing message or start a new conversation with a Template.
Starting a New Conversation with Templates
To start a new conversation with a contact in Message Hub, click the blue + button in your conversations list in Message Hub.
From the New Conversation modal, click the lightning bolt icon to include a template in the message body.
Select the template you wish to include from the list of your existing templates. If you have many saved templates, you can search by the Title to find one from the list. Alternatively, you can also create a new template from this window and use it in the message. Once you have inserted the desired template, you can edit the message from the templated content and then use Scheduled Send or send the message immediately.
Using Templates in a Response
When responding to messages in Message Hub, you can also use a template. In the response builder window, click the lightning bolt icon to display your list of templates.
